What happens when you remove a question or a field?

Removing any question or field from an active form will not only delete it from future forms – it will delete any historical data from previously completed forms.

If you need to remove or significantly change questions on an active form, we recommend the below process:

• Duplicate the form first - This preserves all historical data
  • You can do this by clicking the Duplicate icon to the left of your chosen form, highlighted below 
• Make your changes to the duplicate version
• Activate the new version
• Deactivate the old version (but don't delete it - keep the historical data)
  • You can do this by clicking the green button in the Live column to turn it gray (inactive)
  • You can also deactivate a form by flipping the toggle on the form page from LIVE
